THE
ANC IN MPUMALANGA IS SO DIVIDED IT’S NOT EVEN FUNNY AND IS FAILING INDEED

COPE is like a watch dog on the bond
melting down within the Bohlabela region which leads to the unannounced faction.
COPE in Mpumalanga has discovered with shock that
the African National Congress (ANC) is so divided in the province so much that
this is just not a joke and it is failing indeed.
Leaders of COPE in the province have
noticed a huge number of protesters wearing ANC T-shirts blockading the R40
road between Acornhoek and Bushbuckridge today and claiming that they were
fighting against the ANC led Bushbuckridge municipality for water as well as
electricity.
Motorists suffered big-time as logs,
burning tyres and rocks were used by these ANC members who are by now used to
fighting against some of their own to block the main road.
The chairman of COPE in Ehlanzeni, Comrade
Albert Khoza was one of the leaders who witnessed the scenario and had this to
say.
“It was just obvious that these people were
members of the ANC because they were wearing the party’s regalia including the
red berets with the ANC Logo. They blocked the road and complained that the
same ANC has failed to deliver water in a number of villages including Relani.”
Albert Khoza said.
“This should be a big embarrassment to the
ruling party especially that it is happening at the time when South Africa is about to go to the
National Elections, not just elections, but the fifth democratic elections. Oh!
What an irony,” added Khoza.
He said another group of people was engaged
in a protest to demand the continuity of the mall that was started in
Greevalley near Acornhoek a while ago but that which the high court ordered not
to be erected further due to some shenanigans related to land issues in the
Bushbuckridge municipality.
COPE in Mpumalanga is speaking about a municipality
that has always earned itself the tittles of being corrupt and controversial in
its own right.
This is the municipality that was supposed
to excel in service delivery because it falls within an area that has once been
declared a presidential nodal area by then president of the Republic of South Africa,
Thabo Mbeki, based on the fact that it controls villages which are considered
to be deep rural and therefore needing urgent attention.
COPE says with the current ANC leadership
in the province under Premier David Mabuza there will be no solution to the
chaos in Bushbuckridge.
