SPORT CLUBS TO RECEIVE SPORT EQUIPMENT

MEC for Culture, Sport and Recreation, Sibangile will hand over sport equipment to over 5 sport clubs from the Nkangala Region. The hand over is scheduled to take place in Mehlwana Secondary School in Phola on Saturday 22 February 2014.
The Department invests in youth, and needs them to pursue their God given talents.    Flying Birds HC from Dr JS Moroka Municipality, Bombers Volleyball Club from Emakhazeni Municipality and Phola All Stars from eMalahleni Municipality are amongst the clubs that will receive sport equipment for volleyball, football, handball and netball.
“As a department we want to ensure that more young people develop in sport by providing them the necessary equipment to develop their skills and talents, we will continue to work together with sport councils and clubs in the various municipalities in the province in the bid to promote participation and development in sport.” Sibongile said.
Ms Sibongile Nkosi, spokesperson of the department of Culture, Sport and Recreation says young people need to be encouraged to participate in sport.
