Agang SA leader, Mamphela Ramphele, will visit the
CIDA City Campus after the ongoing protests between the students and management.
She is expected to addressing both parties and also
listening to grievances. The school has been under going through a lot of
financial strain and has been under business rescue since December 2012.
The school was given until March
25, to settle their dept of approx R20 million. Management of the school
decided to increase school fees to help curb the debt, but that resulted in
students being frustrated because they would essentially have to leave the
school because they cannot pay the fees. This led strike which started last
week and is still ongoing.
