ORIENTATION FUNCTION FOR CUBAN STUDENTS 2014 INTAKE

The Department of Health will hold orientation for the ten Cuban student intake 2014. The programme helps to prepare the students for a different environment. The occasion will also be blessed by the presents of MEC GP Mashego, South African doctors trained in Cuba and  66 students who are doing second and third year schooling in Cuba.

The orientation programme will cover the following:

·         Historical background: RSA/Cuba medical Collaboration & Role of the SA embassy.

·         Cuba Health system

·         Socio Economic Conditions and life in Cuba

·         Disciplinary issues and logistics
