MINISTER DAVIES TO BRIEF THE MEDIA ON HIS HOLLYWOOD VISIT 

The Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr Rob Davies will brief the media 
on his visit from Hollywood, Los Angeles to encourage US film makers to 
shoot their productions in South Africa

Minister Davies says that South Africa has capabilities in the film 
value chain to offer in areas such as post production and visual 
effects, and that there is a number of Hollywood studios that are 
involved in film making in South Africa. 

The film industry has accounted for around 25,000 jobs last year, 
compared to 4500 almost 12 years ago
