Department of Health distances itself from a bogus intake from fly by night
advertisers that might be busy cunning people’s hard cash.
Department spokesperson Dumisani Malamule told Bvunza
Mutupo News
that Department of Health has been receiving calls from the public, inquiring
about an advert inviting the public to apply for admission at the Mpumalanga Nursing
College at Themba Hospital
near Nelspruit.
The
bogus advert, which is alleged to be inviting the public to apply for admission
for a four (4) year programme to study nursing at the college is alleged to be
circulating via social media networks like what’s up and sms sent to people’s
cellphones.
“The
Department would like to distance itself from the alleged advert. The
Department does not invite the public to apply for admission via smses or any
social media network.
“The
Department follows a standard government procedure whereby an advert will be
placed with a credible local or national newspaper or via internal circulars.
The advert will contain the Department’s letter head, valid office contact
numbers, a contact person and a valid postal address.” Dumisani Malamule said.
Department
of Health warns people that if they do apply to such advert, they do at their
own risks since the Department is not aware.
Malamule say the Public
is encouraged to report the matter to the police station if they receive such
smses.
