MEC DUMISILE NHLENGETHWA WILL GET HANDS DIRTY IN CELEBRATION OF WOMENS MONTH

The MEC for Mpumalanga Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport, Ms Dumisile Nhlengethwa will, as part of the Departmental Women’s Month Programme joins female officials within the department in a cleaning campaign and road marking at Graskop -Thaba Chweu Municipality on Thursday the 14th of August 2014 starting at 10H00 in the morning. She will also donate sanitary towels to the two local schools; Versalies and Mabulela Primary Schools.

The events dedicated to honour the gallant and selfless heroines who marched to the Union Buildings against the imposition of pass laws.

The Department has a month long programme upon which MEC embark on various activities such as revamping community centres for the disabled and conducting law enforcement operations.

Men in the department will also do their part and they will be interacting with commuters at the taxi rank advocating messages of Stop Women Abuse.
