DA wishes Mpumalanga Pumas Well!

By BRIAN KAJENGO
The Currie Cup is one of the oldest inter provincial rugby tournaments in the world.
This year,Mpumalanga will have the honour to witness our very own Provincial Team participating in the Premier Division of the Curry Cup competition, with the first match between the Steval Pumas and the Toyota Cheetahs taking place at the Mbombela Stadium on Saturday 9 August.
The Pumas are a well-supported team throughout Mpumalanga Province, drawing average crowds of 13,000 at home Currie Cup matches.
The Steval Pumas beat the EP Kings on 11 October 2013 with a 53-30 victory, placing them in the 2014 Currie Cup Premier Division.
The DA calls on the MEC of Culture, Sport and Recreation to continue supporting provincial rugby team and to ensure that they do everything in their power to assist this team in this Currie Cup season.
The DA also calls on all members of the public get behind the Steval Pumas and attend as many of the matches played at the Mbombela stadium, as possible.

Lastly, the DA wishes the Steval Pumas and the Mpumalanga Rugby Union everything of the best for the season ahead.
