It
is with shock and sadness that the DA has learnt of the death of a pupil from

The
circumstances surrounding the death of Thaballo Zeane, who admitted to
hospital with what believed to be sjambok injuries, has brought to the
forefront the history of abuse that has taken place at this educational
  institution.
We
wish to extend our condolences to her family and loved ones during this very
  difficult time.
As far back as 1999, the headmaster, Mr
Mkhatshwa sentenced to 3 months jail time as well as R1000 fine for
assault.  In 2001 an estimated 150 students led a protest against the
horrendous treatment they were receiving in the school.
2009 Saw the principle being in trouble
again for the whipping of three girls and then again in 2012 three of the
school boarding masters were found guilty of assault with the intent to do
  grievous bodily harm.
The DA welcomes the investigation that launched
by the Department of Education and wishes to express our hopes that this
matter fast tracked and that, should the outcome warrant it, the closure of
the school will happen swiftly.  The SAPS needs commended on opening a
  murder investigation into the matter.
The youth of
We trust that the investigation will
handled in a serious manner and that justice will be done.
