TWO IN THE BUSH

TWO IN THE BUSH
- a comedy about the lives of two less than successful actresses

24th June - 19th July
starring
KATE NORMINGTON and ILSE KLINK
Musical Direction by ROWAN BAKKER
Directed by JACI DE VILLIERS

Two in the bush with the brilliant Kate Normington and Ilse Klink - delivering real belly laughs to make even casual theatregoers crease up with glee. A double dose of fun. - Lesley Stones

A musical hurricane blew through the theatre in the guise of two dynamic performers, Kate Normington and Ilse Klink, who provided an evening of sheer, hilarious fun. – Peter Feldman

4 stars (out of 5). With Two in the Bush, you can totally go bossies. Let’s face it: South African theatre has, for the most part, been serious for far too long. In this show with Normington and Klink, the stars, entertainers and singers, it is especially the writing and their stage presence that is the key that opens up everything concerning the often elusive make-or-break X-factor. Normington’s writing skills have been honed through her experience and versatility as a singer, actress, and voice artist in diverse musicals and theatrical genres, including industrial theatre. - Paul Boekkooi

TWO IN THE BUSH is a collection of hilarious sketches and beautiful music strung together with quite a bit of wind and some fury.

The piece is really just an excuse for two actresses to unleash the torrent of their inspiration, and invite everyone else to join them, while also suspending their codes of ethical and moral conduct for as long as the show lasts.

Ilse Klink and Kate Normington play a number of characters and sing some beautiful songs under the musical supervision of the insane and lovely in equal measures, Rowan Bakker.

Tuesday - Friday 20h15; Saturday 18h00 and 20h30.
