DA takes scholars to the sky for Mandela Day

DA takes scholars to the sky for Mandela Day
 By BRIAN KAJENGO
Tomorrow, ten children from disadvantaged communities will see the lowveld like never before, from the sky!

In celebrating the spirit of Nelson Mandela, The Democratic Alliance in partnership with Supatsela Edu-Tours will be taking 10 learners from disadvantaged backgrounds on their maiden flight over Mbombela.

These learners hail from different parts of Mbombela but share a common interest in aviation.

Provincial leader, Anthony Benadie, deputy provincial leader, Jane Sithole, Bosman Grobler MPL and director of Supatsela Edu-Tours, Godfrey Nkadimeng, will accompany them.

The group will depart from the Mpumalanga Legislature to the old Nelspruit Airport where there will be a tour of the facility and learners can meet and interact with the pilots before they take to the sky.
This will take place at Old Nelspruit Airport (KaapseHoop Road)

While many of the learners see planes in the Nelspruit sky on a daily basis, none of them have ever been inside an aeroplane or taken to the sky before. This is set to be a life changing experience for all the children, and we invite members of the media to attend.
