MBOMBELA TAXI ASSOCIATIONS TO JOIN MPUMALANGA MEC FOR PUBLIC WORKS, ROADS AND TRANSPORT IN CLEANING THE TAXI RANK IN HONOUR OF MANDELA

MBOMBELA TAXI ASSOCIATIONS TO JOIN MPUMALANGA MEC FOR PUBLIC WORKS, ROADS AND TRANSPORT IN CLEANING THE TAXI RANK IN HONOR OF MANDELA.

In a bid to support what the former president advocated in his entire life, reconciliation, the various Mbombela Taxi Associations will join the MEC for Public Works, Roads and Transport Dumisile Nhlengethwa in patching potholes and cleaning the taxi rank. The event will take place on Monday the 21st of July 2014 and will start at 10h00 am in the morning.


MEC Nhlengethwa to be joined by the MEC for Community Safety and Liaison, Vusi Shogwe as well as the Executive Mayor of Mbombela, Sibusiso Mathonsi to honour the former statesman. The event forms part of the Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport’s Mandela Month programme, where MEC Nhlengethwa embarks on patching potholes, grading roads, cutting grasses, donating food parcels and clothes. “As a department we want to make everyday a Mandela Day, to ensure that we continue with his legacy” said MEC.
