RE-COPE
Premier candidate on a massive campaign trail
by BRIAN KAJENGO
The village
of Ntunda in KaMhlushwa in Nkomazi, Mpumalanga, saw over 2000 members and
supporters of COPE singing and dancing while awaiting an election campaign
address by the party’s provincial premier candidate, Comrade Sizile Ndlovu on
Sunday.
Ndlovu
flanked by other prominent provincial leaders, arrived to an extremely warm
welcome befitting a leader of his caliber and gave people the opportunity to
explain their situation in the area.
This
coincided with his personal observation in the area which had revealed that
people in Nkomazi were still without water while the area was also extremely
poverty stricken.
The people
supported Ndlovu’s own findings that included that roads in the area were
having serious potholes and damaged at all costs.
Comrade Ndlovu
encouraged the people to go and vote on May 7 and make sure that they voted the
ANC out of power because it had failed despite having ruled for 20 years.
“I encourage
you to go and vote. When you make your cross, please make sure that it is one
that will vote the ruling party out of power because it has failed you despite
having ruled for 20 years. We as COPE are ready to make the necessary changes
that will bring service delivery to your doorstep,” Ndlovu told his audients to
a thundering applause..
He stressed
that the National Elections were just around the corner and that it was very
crucial for COPE members to go all out and campaign on daily basis.
“Do a door to door elections campaign on daily bases in order to obtain
the desired results,” said Ndlovu.
