20 STOLEN SHEEP
COMPRESSED IN A TAZZ, SUSPECT NABBED

At least a 24 year old suspect bust for stealing sheep at Lothair near
Ermelo in Mpumalanga,
on Mondays 17 March2014, after he suspected of transporting stolen live stock.
The
Assiduous cops were busy patrolling when they spotted a suspicious looking
Toyota Tazz on the road between Lothair and Mpuluzi.
They
stopped it and conducted a search. They then discovered that all the
passengers’ seats removed and the vehicle loaded with 20 sheep. The driver
failed to produce any permit to transport the stock or proof of purchase on
request. He nabbed on the spot and taken to the police station for further
interrogation.
Investigations
proves that the sheep stolen from a certain farm in Lothair. The police also
discovered that 16 of the sheep were already dead of suffocation.
“The
conduct of the suspect deserves much to be desired and as a result, a further
charge of animal cruelty might be leveled against him. It is unbelievable what
other people think sometimes.

Tazz, where on earth can somebody do such a cruel act.
Some
of the sheep suffocated and died before the suspect reached his destination.
“This
is quiet strange and it must be condemned in the strongest terms it deserves. I
am happy though that he has been arrested and my commendation goes to the
members who spotted the suspect”, said the Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant
General Thulani Ntobela.
The
suspect will appear before the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, 18 March
2014.
