Mpumalanga PARTICIPANTS OF THE
CLIMATE CHANGE AND WATER PROGRAMMES TO BE REWARDED.

Pilgrim Rest – Mpumalanga MEC for Economic Development Environment and
Tourism, Mrs. YN ‘’ Pinky ‘’ Phosa will be on the 18th of March 2014, reward
schools that participated in the Water Programme for Pre- Schools and Climate
Change Literacy Programme for secondary schools.
The aim of the water Programme and climate change Literacy
Programme for schools is aimed at promoting and encouraging environmental
empowerment to schools, and encouraging early childhood environmental education
plays a critical role in shaping the child attitudes, values, and patterns of
behavior towards the environment.
Winners in the Pre –School category will receive additional
water conservation related material, while in the Climate change winners will
receive solar flood lights and energy saving bulbs.
The function to take place on Tuesday 18 March 2014, at Pilgrim Rest,
Environment Centre.
