SON ARRESTED For KILLING OF HIS FATHER

Nelspruit- it is alleged that a 56 – year – old man Johannes Skhosana from Kwaggafontein was brutally hacked to death by 26 – year – old his biological son.
The police in Kwaggafontein received report about a horrific incident that a certain man who was on his way to work was senselessly hacked with a spade and was lying in the street.
When they arrived at the scene they informed by the community that the man was hacked by his son.
The police then summoned all role players and unfortunately the man certified dead by paramedics.
While other members were manning the scene, others went to look for the suspect who reported to have locked himself in his room.
They then ordered him to open the door, and police found him with bloodied clothes and the alleged spade also full of blood.
When they asked why he killed his father, he indicated to the police that his father owed him money for maintenance.
His statement taken as a confession to the murder and the man arrested.
The blood found in his clothes and the spade sent to the laboratory for forensic tests.
“It is unbelievable and shocking what has happened that the suspect has hacked his father to death. We truly believe that families should protect each other; however, in this instance the opposite took place. I also take this opportunity to thank and appreciate the diligence of the community for assisting the police. This is indicative that if we collaborate as law abiding citizens and the police, we can to solve many crimes.
I applaud the agility displayed by the members of SAPS in Kwaggafontein for the swift work and putting the suspect behind bars,” said the Acting Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Major General (Adv) Meshack Nogwanya.
The suspect is expected to appear before the Mkobola Magistrate’s Court in Kwaggafontein tomorrow 14 January 2015.
