THE EARLIEST BIRDS CATCH THE BIGGEST WORMS

The South African National Parks (SANParks) announced Thursday 17 July 2014 that the holiday bookings in various national parks under its management for the June 2015 to July 2015 period will open on Tuesday, 22 July 2014 from 07h30 for the call centres and email bookings. Online bookings will only open on 23 July 2014.

SANParks General Manager: Sales and Marketing, Bheki Zwane said the reason for opening both months at the same time is to make it easy for customers to book their holiday accommodation and activities well in advance as well as allowing them to plan their itinerary with just one booking, unlike in previous years where they had to book separately for June and July.

He said accommodation bookings in various national parks are always in demand during this peak winter school holiday period, which often leaves holiday makers disappointed for not securing desired accommodation as these are popular destinations.

He said, “Holiday makers’ beer mind that available inventory in all parks will be made available on a first come first serve basis.”

Visitors will be required to make the first deposit of 50 percent, 30 days after the booking has made. The second deposit of 50% be paid 60 days before arrival. Bookings be done at Central Reservations on 012 428 9111 or by e-mail on reservations@sanparks.org, at park camp receptions or at the SANParks Satellite offices throughout the country a list of all satellite offices can be obtained on www.sanparks.org
