SOUTH AFRICAN NATIONAL
PAVILLION OPENED AT FILDA ANGOLA
The Councillor
Economic at the Embassy of South Africa in Angola , Mr Madileke Ramushu
officially opened the SA National Pavillion at the Angolan Feira Internacional de Angola (FILDA) trade exhibition yesterday. The trade
exhibition is currently taking place in Luanda
until Sunday,
27 July 2014.
The pavillion is a
platform for the 27 South African business delegates to exhibit their products
and services with the aim of increasing exports of South African manufactured
products to Angola
and to create new partnerships.
Ramushu expressed his
optimism for the fair to deliver concrete results in the form of trade
partnerships and investments.
“The two countries
present key areas of opportunities to deepen mutually beneficial economic
relations,” said Ramushu.
He echoed President Jacob
Zuma’s call for radical economic transformation where all South Africans called
to participate in building an inclusive economy anchored by the industrial
sector.
Ramushu said Angola could be
a strategic partner in this regard and contribute to the development process.
Ramushu who later on
cut the ribbon and officially invited the Angolans to explore the South African
companies’ products, also wished the delegation well in relation to acquiring
leads and business partnerships.
The Chief Executive
Officer of Thandi Wines, a Western
Cape based company, Mr Venon Henn said it had only
been two days of exhibiting his wines at the trade fair, but he was already
starting to see the benefits.
“I am hopeful that the
leads I just acquired will provide tangible results and that I will soon export
my wines to Angola ,”
said Henn who is part of the delegation.
