Bushbuckridge Residents Association backs MEC
The Bushbuckridge Residents Association
welcomes the decision by MEC for Finance, Economic development and Tourism
Honourable Sikhumbuzo Eric Kholwane to place an interim board of Mpumalanga
Economic Growth Agency as contemplated in the Mpumalanga Economic Growth
Agency, 2010 (ACT no.1 0f 2010).
This is after the serving board disbanded
a month ago due to their incompetency.
BRA believes that the MEC has appointed
capable men and women who are equal to the task, and well equipped and
experienced and it will enhance the economic development, investment, and grow
the agricultural sector of Mpumalanga
province. This will leads to sustainable job creation.
While we welcome the decision to place
an interim board, BRA believes that the MEC will now learn from their mistakes,
will now follow all processes, and appoint individuals with experience, good
record in their current field of work and correct qualifications in order to
grow the economy of the province. We call on the cabinet to do so as currently
there are ongoing processes to appoint a new permanent board.
BRA shows to be on the same page with the
newly appointed MEC by Mpumalanga Premier David Mabuza recently.
