HHOYI TRADITIONAL COUNCIL CULTURAL FUNCTION / UMMEMO

MEC for Co-operative Governance and Traditional leaders in Mpumalanga, Hon. Refilwe Mtshweni expected to deliver a key note address during the annual Hhoyi Cultural function. MEC Mtshweni will focus on the delivery of services such as water and sanitation and the strengthening of the Institution of Traditional Leaders.

The Hhoyi Traditional Council, led by Inkhosi Sandile Ngomane, is one of the 60 traditional councils in Mpumalanga. Inkhosi Ngomane is the Deputy Chairperson of the Mpumalanga House of Traditional leaders (MPHTL). Cultural functions such as this held annually as a point of interface between traditional leaders and rural communities within their jurisdiction.

Apart from MEC Mtshweni, other dignitaries to attend the function include the Provincial Chairpersons of HTL, Kgosi Mathupa Mokoena, Executive members of the house, Amakhosi, the rural community and traditional dancers.
