Embassy of Canada, The Raben Group and Groupe ECHO Haiti are co-hosting a Diaspora forum exploring how and why millennials from the U.S., Canada, and France (Countries with the largest Diaspora populations) are collaborating to bolster rebuilding efforts in Haiti
Africans and African Diaspora: Implementation of the UN CRPD to Break Barriers toward Disability-Inclusive Development.

The panel discusses African Diasporas' challenges and opportunities for helping people with disabilities in Africa and the U.S. The panel also examines status of the ratification of the UN Convention for the Rights of People with Disabilities at the global level. It also discusses African Diasporas' contributions to increasing the number of African women with disabilities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)

 Increasingly Diaspora communities in North America are engaging in activities to support humanitarian assistance and economic development in their countries of origin, through individual and organizational volunteerism. Drawing on experiences of the Diaspora for Development project, a public-private alliance with Cuso International, Accenture and USAID, the panel discussions and conversation in this forum will highlight the rewards and challenges of engaging diaspora in the international development agenda
