I am sorry I will pay the damage

Those were the words of a pensioner found pants down with a miner.
The family took him as an elder, who they neighbour hood family took care of and assist because he lives alone.

It’s alleged that when ever the widower when he gets horny trap his pray by sending his neighbour’s child by sending her to buy anything he needs.
When the miner comes back he drags her into his bedroom threatens to kill the entire family if she disclose.
The 53 year old grandmother told BVUNZA MUTUPO that the family respect the old man like the father and grandfather to her grandchildren.

“I couldn’t believe my eyes when I find the old man with pants downs with my granddaughter.
 “Madala made me to be more angry when he gave me R1000 not to report. I took the money to the police as evidence, but the police gave the money back without showing sympathy with the complainant.
“He is walking freely and my granddaughter and I are not safe at all,” said the grandmother.
The 13 year old raped miner told BVUNZA MUTUPO that the madala promised to destroy the entire family if she tells anyone that he was raping her.  The victim says the scenario started last year December when her grand mother was in Mozambique her country of origin.
She said, “He sends me to buy bread last year December, when I came back he asked me to put the brad on his kitchen unit, and ordered me to get it his bedroom. He forced himself in me; after he raped me he gave R10 to buy sweets and not to tell anyone.”

The miner raped three times since 2013 December and ordered not to tell anyone.

A neighbourhood told BVUNZA MUTUPO that the people suspected that the widower would do something to the children of his neighbourhood.  
 “We once discussed about this man that the way this woman trust the old man the friendship would turn ugly. Indeed that had happened,” said the 45 year old neighbour.

The mother of the 13 year old rape victim who works in Thaba Tshweu says she disappointed by the cops.

“I have lost trust and faith with police after they assaulted my daughter accusing her of being a prostitute. How could the police accusing a little girl like her. I thought the police could even assist and my mother and my daughter didn’t get any counselling. The old man we take him like a grand father, but now he disappointed us.” The mother said.

Calcutta police spokesperson Lieutenant Robert Makhubele said, “A case of rape has been opened and investigations are in the process. We would like to edge people not to trust their children associate with man. Even to leave girl child under the custodian of men.”
