SWAZI NATIONALS NABBED FOR DEALING IN
DAGGA
CAROLINA - The National K9
Deployment Unit has pounced on two Swazi nationals aged 22 and 32, and seized
dagga to an estimated street value of R700 000 during midnight.
The suspects were busted after police
received a tip-off about a truck that was from Swaziland crossing to South
Africa through Oshoek Port of Entry. The truck, which was en-route to
Johannesburg, was spotted and stopped by the police between Carolina and
Wonderfontein for a search. During the search, police discovered and seized 42
bags of compressed dagga. The suspects were then busted on the spot and the
truck was seized as well.
The suspects will made their first
appearance before the Carolina Magistrate’s Court on 02 September 2015, on a
charge of dealing in dagga.
