DERMACELL COSMETICS AND
HEALTHCARE TO EXPLORE THE CONGOLESE MARKET
A Gauteng based black owned
chemical manufacturing company, Dermacell Cosmetics and Healthcare will get an
opportunity to explore the market in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The company is among the 50 companies that will participate in the International
Trade and Investment Initiative (ITI) taking place from 14-19 September
2015.
The mission, which is
organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) will give
South African companies an opportunity to interact with the Congolese business
decision–makers and present their products and services in one-on-one sessions.
According to the Chief
Executive Officer (CEO) of Dermacell Cosmetics and Healthcare, Ms Maggie
Talana, this is an opportunity for the company to get exposure on the Congolese
market and explore business opportunities that are available.
“This is our third
participation since we were incubated by Egolobio, and as a company we expect
to have successful interactions and explore opportunities which will result in
our company getting distributors of our product in the DRC,” she says.
Talana adds that since the
company started participating in the exhibitions, they have seen an increase in
their clientele and this has resulted in them having a distributor in Zimbabwe.
“Participating in this mission
will help us understand how we can best align our products with the needs of
other markets. We appreciate these efforts by government to assist small and
emerging businesses. Being exposed to businesspeople in the DRC will lead to
opportunities for our company to possibly export products to that country,” she
explained.
