MEC Shongwe to lead Sod Turning Ceremony of Mpumalanga’s Traffic College

Mpumalanga Community Safety, Security and Liaison MEC Vusi Shongwe will lead the Sod Turning Ceremony for construction of Mpumalanga Traffic Training College in Bushbuckridge on Friday. The college, once completed will be used for training future traffic officials and reskill the currently employed officers.

 This activity will be preceded by the launch of the provincial Easter Arrive Campaign and during the launch; MEC Shongwe will also unveil road safety plans for the forthcoming Easter Holidays.

As part of beefing up traffic law enforcement, Shongwe will further unveil 101 newly appointed Traffic Inspectors who deployed throughout the province to assist in enhancing road safety and law enforcement.

The events will be among others supported by SAPS, Bushbuckridge Municipality and Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport, traditional leaders, the taxi industry as well as local religious fraternity.
