SA COMPANY
OPTIMISTIC OF EXPORTING MEDICAL EQUIPMENT TO ZAMBIA
BMZ Import and Export
Agencies, a Johannesburg-based company that participated in the Department of
Trade and Industry-led (the dti) Outward Selling Mission (OSM) to
Zambia, is excited about the successful meetings that will see them export
their medical, laboratory, orthopaedic and dental equipment to Zambia. BMZ was one of the 35 companies that participated
in the mission that started on 6 October 2015 and ends today.
Owner and Managing Director
of BMZ, Ms Bernadette Zeiler, said that the successful meetings she had with
potential clients have revealed that there was demand for her products. She is
looking forward to supplying the Zambian market with her medical, laboratory,
orthopaedic and dental equipment.
Zeiler also mentioned that
her company is on the verge of finalising a R24 million business deal to export
her products to Zimbabwe.
“This deal was secured as a
direct result of participating in the Zimbabwe Trade Fair where I was sponsored
by the dti,” said Zeiler.
Zeiler added that she is
excited about venturing into the Zambian market more especially because of its
proximity to South Africa, the 20% less fee that is charged on export duties
and the fact that the country is in the Southern African Development Community
(SADC) region.
